The observing team at Gemini keeps a detailed log of each night's science observing, also noting weather issues, technical faults and any time spent in planned engineering. It is read by Gemini staff early each morning. A summary of the night is written at the end of observing and included at the top of each night log. That summary is posted here, unedited, to give interested users a feel for what we're doing.

Feb 07, 2023 IGRINS queue with back-to-sky checks. Zorro is available for backup. Another night lost to the weather due to high dew point. As the dew point dropped down, we opened the telescope at 4:15am and tried Zorro queue. But dew point went up very sharply, we were forced to abort the observation and call it a night.
Feb 06, 2023 We plan to observe all night with ZORRO. We did not open due to high dew point and remained closed all night.
Feb 05, 2023 We plan to observe all night with ZORRO. We have been closed all night due to high dew point (~7 deg C). At the beginning of the night there were thick clouds passing. Later it completely cleared up, but the dew point remained constant.
Feb 04, 2023 Zorro queue observing, we expect some clouds throughout the night. Night with high humidity ~60-65%, high dew point 6-7, clouds and poor seeing. Closed all night.
Feb 03, 2023 Zorro observations. We expect clear skies and poor/variable seeing. Dew point inside the dome was up and down, above and below limit the whole night. We were able to see water condensation on the metallic connectors, we decided to call the night at 4:20.
