OT Release Notes: Avispa

The Avispa version of the Observing Tool was publicly
released on 13 December 2006. Summarised below are the most significant changes
from the previous public release (Abeja) for off-site users:
- Modified instrument components and iterators
- Michelle: filter list updated
- T-ReCs: filter list updated; Occulting Bar added to Focal Plane Unit list.
- GNIRS: Bias level decoupled from read mode
- NIFS: automatic central wavelength settings for K_short and K_long gratings; Occulting Disk Offset changed to Mask Offset.
- User interaction and user interface features
- Improved non-sidereal support in the target component
- Name lookup for non-sidereal objects
- Remove redundant orbital elements formats from target component
- Current position button for non-sidereal targets
- Improvements and additions to guide star query algorithms
- The colors of organizational folders reflect observation status in the same way as the colors of scheduling groups
- Group button now a Group/Folder menu for faster folder creation
- OT browser table shows display values for filters/grating/slits etc.
