GeMS
You are here
GeMs is the Gemini Multi-Conjugate Adaptive Optics System. This facility instrument delivers a uniform, diffraction limited image quality at near-infrared (NIR) wavelengths over an extended FoV of more than 1 arcmin across. This corrected beam then feeds the new generation of science instruments: GSAOI or Flamingos 2.
The Instrument Scientist for GeMS is Gaetano Sivo. Gemini science staff who also support GeMS is Eduardo Marin.
