This version is required to access the Gemini Observing Databases.
Please see the download and installation instructions on the Observing Tool web page which also includes the release notes for this version.
If, after updating, you don't see your program in the OT program list please try removing and re-adding your key.
The Gemini observing databases will be offline for several hours on Thursday, December 5 while we perform software updates.
During this time the following services will be unavailable:
The new 2025A Observing Tool will be available after the update and will be required to access the observing databases.
An updated version of the 2024B Observing Tool (2024.1.1.3) is available for download that fixes an issue resolving new targets with SIMBAD. This update is optional.
The Gemini North observing database will be offline for several hours on Tuesday, August 20 Wednesday, August 21 while we perform hardware maintenance.

The new 2024B Observing Tool will be available after the update and will be required to access the observing databases.
The latest version of DRAGONS (v3.2.0) was released on 1 April, 2024 and includes fully integrated support for GHOST and support of the new GMOS-S CCDs installed late 2023. With this release, DRAGONS offers support for the science quality reduction of data from the GMOS, NIRI, GSAOI, and F2 imagers, as well as from the GMOS long-slit spectrograph (including nod-and-shuffle observations) and new GHOST high-resolution spectrograph. Letters of intent are now solicited for new Gemini Large and Long Proposals, to begin in semester 2024B. Letters are due by February 12 2024, and full proposals by April 1 2024.
