Gemini is now accepting proposals for observing time in Semester 2013A. The submission deadline varies with partner and ranges from THURSDAY SEPTEMBER 27 TO TUESDAY OCTOBER 2 2012. A new version of the Phase I Tool (PIT) has been released to support proposal submissions.
The 2013A Phase I Tool (PIT) has been released. This version must be used to generate and submit GeMS/GSAOI Science Verification proposals.
The 2012B PIT should continue to be used for 2012B Director's time and Poor Weather proposals.
The Gemini North hardware replacement is complete, and both the North and South observing databases are online. Please submit a Help Desk ticket if you encounter any problems: http://helpdesk.gemini.edu
The Gemini North observing database will be offline for several hours for hardware repairs on August 14. The work will nominally be from 10am - noon. Please check this site for further announcements.
The Gemini North observing database will be offline for several hours on the morning of Tuesday July 31, tentatively starting at 10am HST, while faulty computer hardware is replaced. During this time the Observing Tool fetch/store and file transfers will be unavailable and web report forms will be offline. Please check this site for further announcements.

The Gemini 2012B observing programs have now been announced. Successful PIs will have received email notification. Please check the schedules page for more information. Note that the new Observing Tool must be used to access 12B programs.
The new version of the Gemini Observing Tool (2012B.2.1.1) is now available for download or via updating an existing installation of the OT. This update is required to communicate with the observing databases.
