Planning for the withdrawal of the United Kingdom from the Gemini partnership at the end of 2012, the Gemini Observatory has worked with the Gemini Board to develop a transition plan for operations and maintenance with a reduced budget in the future. The plan is now available at the AURA website http://www.aura-astronomy.org/news/news.asp?newsID=220 and comments may be contributed through the same site.
Gemini is now accepting proposals for observing time in Semester 2011B. The proposal deadline is March 31, 2011. A new version of the Phase I Tool (PIT) has been released to support proposal submissions.
The Phase I Tool (PIT) for semester 2011B observing proposals has been released. This should also be used for poor weather and director's time proposals during the remainder of semester 2011A.

The 2010B Observing Tool (OT) is now available. This version is needed for 2010B Phase II preparation as well as for fetch/store of any programs in the observing databases.
